ABOUT

Nakita Jangra BSc MBACP

I am a Counselling Psychotherapist with more than 10 years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate emotional, relational, and life challenges. I work with a diverse range of clients, including professionals in global organisations, people working in high-conflict regions, and those managing personal transitions in today’s fast-paced world.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Psychosynthesis, a model that integrates body, mind, and soul. I also draw on insights from neuroscience and evidence-based practices, ensuring the support I offer is both holistic and effective. Committed to ongoing professional development, I continually refine my skills to best serve my clients.

Throughout my career, I have been privileged to work with people from remarkably diverse backgrounds;  from high achievers in the City to professionals who have served with organisations such as the UN, NGOs, and the armed forces. This breadth of experience has given me a rare and privileged vantage point, one that has shaped not only how I work with clients, but how I think about mental health, resilience, and the human experience more broadly.

It is this depth of clinical and real-world experience that I now bring to my work beyond the therapy room. I deliver specialist workshops and professional training for organisations and fellow therapists who take mental health seriously and understand its impact. Whether working with leadership teams, HR professionals, or clinicians looking to deepen their practice, I am committed to sharing what years of frontline experience have taught me, with rigour, compassion, and a grounded understanding of what people truly need.

I hold my practice to the highest standard, and I am committed to supporting clients, organisations, and practitioners who are equally invested in meaningful change. Beyond my clinical and training work, I regularly write about psychology and wellbeing to promote greater mental health awareness.

At the heart of everything I do is the intention to create a safe, compassionate space, whether that is in a one-to-one session, a training room, or an organisational setting, where people can explore their experiences, build resilience, and discover a clearer path forward. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients and colleagues through that process, from where they arrive, to who they are becoming.

How Therapy Works

Therapy is a process that supports change at multiple levels. This may include:

  • Processing difficult emotions

  • Understanding patterns shaped by past experiences

  • Challenging limiting beliefs

  • Creating change in relationships, work, or personal life

You are given space to explore your concerns in depth. This process helps you develop awareness and move towards more effective ways of responding to challenges.

What You Can Gain

With consistent therapy, you can develop:

  • Greater self-awareness

  • Improved emotional regulation

  • Increased confidence and self-worth

  • Better relationships with yourself and others

  • Clearer decision making

  • A stronger sense of direction

Commitment to the Process

Therapy requires commitment from both therapist and client. At times, the process may feel challenging, particularly when addressing past experiences or difficult emotions.

Working through these areas can support meaningful and lasting change. The aim is to help you develop a different relationship with these experiences so they no longer limit your future.
